BY ABBAS FEROZ

They are silent they languish
in cubicles behind desks,
speaking a corporate language
They say it's an advantage,
that it's better to carry burdens
than it is to be banished
But one day we all vanish
and I can't comprehend
the potential damage
When my soul is torn,
taken away from its home
It was all that I've known,
there's memories in these bones
With what face will I face those
who came when I was alone
For eons I was unknown
